This week we also received a USB drive full of pictures from our newborn photo shoot with Katie! Here are a bunch of my favorites (oh, and Ski got in on the pictures too!):

Future BFFs
Well, we didn't get the better weather we were hoping for, but have managed to keep busy anyway by braving the cold. Riley spent the end of last week going on several lunch dates - with Dad, with a friend from Mom's work, and with two of her future BFFs - two babies who are just 2 weeks younger than she is! Seeing the three of them together shows how much she has actually grown in the last few weeks. She used to be as small as they are now! On Saturday she went to the store with Mom while Dad was refereeing, and later joined them and Aunt Gigi for a lunch date. And finally, on Sunday she joined Mom and Dad for some brunch then headed to the condo to help them show it off to a potential renter. In between, she also got some practice taking naps in her crib. All in all, a pretty full week!

Relaxing weekend
After a busy week, Riley settled in for a relaxing weekend. On Saturday, she enjoyed some one-on-one time with Dad while Mom went out with a few friends, and got to hang with her friend Davy when he came over for a bit. The weather has been less than ideal, so Sunday through Tuesday she pretty much stayed inside, aside from a few trips out of the house for meals or errands. We are hoping for some spring weather soon!

1 Month Old
At one month old, Riley is beginning to be awake more during the day. She loves her new swing, and likes to watch the elephants that hang above the swing (see video!). She is very alert, and cracks lots of smiles when you sit and talk to her. She also has very good neck control - when laying on your shoulder, she can pull her head back to look at you, and hold it there for a few seconds. She is most comfortable laying on her side or her stomach, and does not stay asleep for long if placed on her back. Just for kicks, last night we tried swaddling her before laying her in her bouncer to sleep, and it worked wonders. She slept for almost 5 hours straight and then for another 3-4 hours after that!

Goodbye NY fam...til next time!
Riley was sad to see her Grandpa and Great Grandma go, but she's looking forward to visiting them in NY next month. Before they took off, she got to spend some more quality time with Great Grandma while Mom and Grandpa went to watch Dad referee his first playoff game! The rest of the week was busy with trips and visits - a visit from Aunt Michelle, Colton and Levi who brought over lunch, a trip to Nene's house, grocery shopping, and a couple lunch dates with Dad.

NY Visitors
What a busy week! While Dad was out of town for a quick business trip, Riley filled the time by visiting her cousins Colton and Levi, and enjoying a dinner out with them, along with her Aunts Michelle and Gigi, and Nene. Then Thursday she had a special treat when her Grandpa and Great Grandma came to visit from New York! She has had a great time with them so far, and has really warmed up to both of them very quickly. Great Grandma bought her a new swing and she loves relaxing in it. She even stayed home with them for a few hours one night so that Mom and Dad could have a date night.

The weekend
Our weekend started out with fun bathtime, and for the first time Riley didn't cry at all. We think she might actually like the water! That night we joined Aunt Michelle, Uncle Josh, and cousins Colton and Levi out for dinner. Colton was fascinated by his cousin "Riwey" and even gave her a kiss! Sunday was Superbowl Sunday (not that anyone cared), and Riley had a low-key evening watching the game with her good friend Leah. Monday and Tuesday were both spent running errands and ended with dinners out with some of her favorite people.

A visit to Mom's work
Riley's past few days have been filled with some more visits. She has been to Nene's for an afternoon of cuddling, to One Hour again for a visit and lunch with Dad and her friend Katie, and to Mom's work to meet all of her coworkers. She was definitely a hit there and ended up spending 2 hours at the office plus an hour at lunch getting plenty of cuddles and kisses. We also got lots of requests to babysit! Everyone was surprised at how alert she was the whole time, and how the only time she fussed was when she started getting hungry because we had been there so long. Riley capped off the week by having dinner with Mom and Aunt Gigi, and came home to settle in for the cold weekend ahead.
