7 Months Old

As a 7 month old, Miss Riley Cameron weighs approximately 14 1/2 pounds. She is a very busy girl and is constantly squirming and reaching out for things. Very happy and very vocal, she will always let you know what she is thinking. She is very close to crawling - when put on her tummy she rocks back and forth on all fours and tries to reach out for an object that's in front of her. From a sitting position, she lunges forward on her arms and attempts to grab something. One thing Riles absolutely LOVES is food. She has tried a bunch of new foods - scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, pizza, mac & cheese and squash, just to name a few. Most of the time we can't feed her fast enough - she starts making "mmm" noises until she gets the next mouthful. It's a good thing she likes food because she also got her first tooth! She had one pretty restless night before the tooth finally popped through, but overall was a pretty good sport about it. As far as a normal sleep routine goes, she has gotten into a pattern of napping at about 10 and 2 during the day, and sleeping at night from 7:30pm to 6:30am with one wakeup just to eat and go back to sleep. She also will typically take a catnap between 5-6pm but is slowly phasing that out as she no longer seems to need it when she takes longer naps during the day.

Mom's Birthday

The last 2 weeks have been a blur, and Riles has kept busy as usual. Last weekend, she got to hang with Dad and Ski for awhile while Mom got her nails done and did a little shopping. Saturday night she stayed up late helping Mom and Dad host a poker party at her house. It surprisingly didn't freak her out at all when she woke up from a nap to find about 15 people downstairs! She had fun watching her cousins run around, and being passed around by all of Mom and Dad's friends. Then Sunday night was Mom's birthday dinner with the whole Kletz/Hobbs clan. After hanging with Papa, Gigi, Michelle, Josh, Colton and Levi, she even fell asleep on Nene's shoulder!

This week she got a special treat when Mom and Dad ordered cheese breadsticks and she got to try one. She LOVED it, and pretty much devoured the whole thing. We think she has the hang of this whole eating thing! This weekend she got lots of shopping in, picking up a new bathing suit and swim diaper for the upcoming cruise, and tagging along while Mom got some new clothes as well.
