This past week Riles paid another visit to Ocean Breeze with Colton and Levi (and Dad came this time too!). Despite being a little under the weather, she had a great time trying out all the slides again and again. She even went down by herself a couple times! She did NOT, however, enjoy wearing a life jacket, so our time on the lazy river was short-lived. Wednesday she had a busy afternoon, starting with a trip to Chic-fil-a to get a yummy snack and play on the playground. Afterwards, we went to the library to play for a bit and then go to her class. She must have been in a bad mood because she did not like any of the songs they were singing. Everyone thought it was funny when she kept shaking her head, saying "no" and proceeded to lay down in the middle of the circle. However, she fully recovered when the big bag of toys came out! Later that week she did some bubble play, and thoroughly enjoyed making a big huge mess. She also really loves to help with laundry, and was very excited when I got out the stool for her to stand on!
(P.S. I only included the picture of the back of her head because I think it's crazy how long and curly her hair has gotten!)

Our busy bee
Okay, it's been quite some time since the last post, and we have a lot to catch up on. Unfortunately, soon after we arrived home from Pittsburgh we found out that Riley's great grandfather had passed away. Riles hopped back on a plane and traveled to Florida to pay her respects to the funny, kind and loving man she called her Big Papa. She spent the next week celebrating his life and spending time with family she doesn't get to see too often.
Most of the month of June saw Riley spending time outside, enjoying all the great weather that came our way! She spent a lot of time at various parks, went to her library class, hit up the bounce house, and also attended her last Gymboree class for awhile. She hung out with Maisy a few times, visiting the park and the botanical gardens for the first time - they had a blast at the splash park! Ellie was another fave playmate - they hit up Harborfest together and hung out at the beach at First Landing State Park too.
To stay cool, she either played in her pool out back, played in the fountains at Town Point Park, went to Nene & Papa's pool or went to the outdoor pool at the Y. She also had her first waterpark experience one afternoon with Colton, Levi and her friend Lauren. She rode the lazy river and the waterslides over and over for about 3 hours and wasn't even ready to leave! I think it's safe to say she loved it. :-)
As always, here are some pics to chronicle the last month and a half (with a few more Pittsburgh pics thrown in at the beginning that we found and had to share!):
