"I like that!"

It is incredible how much our little girl's vocabulary has expanded recently. And lately, she is especially fond of the words "like" and "love". In the past week, she has told me "Daddy loves me", "I like that", "Ski Ski likes me", "I like this slide" and "I like Teeter" (the grocery store). She also tells us that she missed us "all day" or "all night". She is extremely perceptive, and really loves to boss us around. :-) Thanks to Liz, some other favorite phrases include "get outta da way" and "get-a outta here!". If one of us happens to get hurt (or pretend hurt), she will say "Mommy have boo-boo?". And when I say yes, she will kiss it and say "Mommy feel better?". We just can't get over how many words she picks up on!

This past week Riles got to: play at the new downtown library, go on a skinny dip date with Mom and Dad, try out a My Gym class (which she loved!), attend a Jewish naming ceremony for Baby Ivan, play at the Mt. Trashmore playground (she's become quite the climber!), go to a music class, ride the train to dinner (where she ran into Gigi), and go to the zoo and lunch with Shell, Colton and Levi. Phew, what a great week!

Nana's visit

Riley Roo had an awesome time hanging with Nana and Lizard while Mom and Dad spent a few days in Vegas. They celebrated Liz's birthday with a special lunch and dinner, and also went to see Liz while she was working at Bravo. Apparently Riley had a blast following Liz around and helping her get the bread ready to serve to her tables. Friday she had a great time at a block party where she got to hang out with Ellie, listening to music and dancing. Saturday she attended a birthday party where she got to make music with some old and new friends. While Nana was here, she also got her hands on a brand new Frozen scooter, complete with Minnie Mouse helmet! She helped Nana put it together and then tested it out at the boardwalk. Oh and let's not forget her nighttime antics - crawling into bed with Nana in the middle of the night. :-) Sunday Riles had to say "bye for now" to Nana but was happy to welcome back Mom and Dad. She showed off her scootering skills on a walk around the block with Ski Ski. Her new Pirates gear had come in the mail and she was happy to show it off and ended up wearing it to bed that night too!

Springtime fun

Riley kicked off this week by joining her friend Ellie at the library to hunt for some eggs. The girls had fun listening to some Easter stories, then heading outside for the egg hunt and an appearance from the Easter bunny! Riley was fascinated by the big bunny but preferred to watch him from a distance. Later that night she got to play with Maisy for awhile when Davy and Michelle stopped by the house. The next day was full of fun as she joined friends Ellie and Emmy for a play date at the trampoline park! The girls had a blast and wiped themselves out (well, all except for Riley of course). Ellie came with us and we headed for some lunch and playtime at the park. After Ellie's mom picked her up, Riles headed to Nene and Papa's to celebrate Passover with the family. During her long weekend, she thoroughly enjoyed the nice weather by playing outside.
