Halloween

Riles started off the following week with a daytime field trip to Hunt Club Farms with Nene, Michelle, Colton & Levi. She had a lot of fun playing on the playground and in the hay with her cousins, got to go on a hayride, and met them for lunch afterwards too! The weekend was busy - she went to Mom's coworker's house for a costume party, then later to the Hobbs household for a s'mores party. The next day she met the Kletz's & Hobbs out to watch the Steelers game at Shorebreak. On Halloween morning Riley got quite the surprise as her Aunt Lizzard popped in for a visit from NY! Riles showed how excited she was by flashing a big smile and waving her hands, reaching right up for Liz to pick her up. That day there was a parent mixer at daycare, so she got to stay and play at lunchtime for a bit with the other babies and their parents. That night they went over to the Hobbs household for some pizza and a little trick-or-treating - Riles went has an old lady, complete with a gray wig and a walker! Friday Riles headed to the doctor because she had a fever and hadn't been feeling well - turns out she has another ear infection. On Saturday they joined Davy, Michelle, Leigh, Bill & Maisy for some lunch, and later that night it was time (already!?) to say goodbye for now to her auntie. The next evening she joined the Kletz's & Hobbs for some yummy Italian to celebrate Papa and Gigi's birthdays. After developing a rash and enduring a few very rough nights sleep, Riles went back to the doc who switched her antibiotic. Then it was back to daycare, and they are saying how close Riley is to walking - even taking a step or two here and there! In the meantime, she has definitely learned to climb up the stairs (and we are working on teaching how to get back down as well!). And on a side note - the new antibiotic seems to be working out better. The rash is almost gone and Riles slept great last night!
