Potty training time!

Riley Roo has been quite busy since the last post (hence the lack of posting!). In the last couple months, she's done a bunch of new things and had lots of new experiences. Her vocabulary has grown leaps and bounds, and she loves to provide the commentary on our lives ("Mommy sit down on the couch?", "That is your drink, Daddy? Yeah?", "Ski Ski going outside? I go outside too?", "That is too hard for me"). It's amazing what she comes up with! She's also mastered "please" and "thank you" and has already learned to give us a big smile and tilt of the head when she wants something. :-) She is energetic, goofy, and loves to dance and sing. This week she also started potty training and is doing great with it so far! She has gone quite a few times in her small potty but pretty much refuses to go in a big potty, so we'll keep working on that.

Here's a bunch of the exciting stuff Riley has done since May:

- Several trips to Ocean Breeze Waterpark (she loves the slides!)
- A trip to Busch Gardens and one to Water Country
- A quick weekend visit to Florida for the unveiling of her Big Papa's headstone
- went strawberry picking
- watched Colton's baseball game
- swimming at Nene & Papa's pool (including a swim lesson there too)
- danced and watched fireworks at Town Point Park
- went to the dentist with Mommy and let the dentist take a look at her teeth
- Memorial Day cookout at Joey & Leah's
- danced and played at the Hermitage Museum
- watched all of the boats coming in for Harbor Fest
- went mini golfing and to a movie for the first time
- went bowling with Mom and Dad
- had a playdate at the park with two friends from school
- had Colty & Levi over for a sleepover which included a baseball game, souvenirs and some frozen yogurt
- traveled to NY to surprise Nana for her 50th birthday, got to meet some pretty cool people and spend quality time with Grandpa, V, and Great Grandma too!
- had a blast swimming and taking part in a parade for the 4th of July
