The October fun continued the next weekend with a trip to Pittsburgh for a Steelers game. It was cold but it didn't seem to bother Riley one bit, and to top it off they pulled out a win! After they returned from their trip, it was time to head out to a pumpkin patch for some fall fun and picking out a pumpkin. At home, she decorated her white pumpkin with markers and lots of stickers.
In school, Roo has been working on tracing the letters in her name. She was excited to practice at home, too, so we helped her out by writing some names out on a piece of paper. We were impressed with the results! She couldn't be more proud of herself, and wanted to do it over and over again.
When Riley started to miss camping a bit, she made up for it by having a campfire in the backyard, and of course making some yummy s'mores. Later that week, she ventured out to Hunt Club Farm for her annual play date with Colty & Levi. They thoroughly enjoyed the playground, hayride, animals, and even 2 pony rides!
At last, Halloween weekend was here and Riley - we mean Skye - tried her hand at trick-or-treating THREE different times. First up, she attended a trunk or treat at her school. The next morning she got to trick-or-treat at Dad's work. Finally, after a little ODU game fun, she headed out for the real deal trick-or-treating - with her favorite little cousins! All in all, October was a blast and we can't wait to see what November brings!
